Wells table feed motor off milling machine repair attempt: stuttering erratic feed

I decided to try and figure out why this Wells power feed unit off my Index milling machine (like a big Bridgeport), was not working correctly. It seems to pulsate at lower speeds, but seems fine at maximum speed.
