Bengaluru Tiranga March Faces Police Standoff Over Protest Placards at Town Hall

Welcome to Daily Salar Digital. Before we begin, like, share and subscribe. A Tiranga March organised by the Anti-SIR Federation witnessed a nearly 40-minute standoff with police outside Bengaluru’s Town Hall on October 23. Police objected to protest placards and political slogans, stating that permission had been granted strictly for a Tiranga March. Supported by farmer unions, Dalit outfits and Left organisations, the march proceeded to Freedom Park under police supervision. Demonstrators later began a sit-in protest demanding the withdrawal of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. DCP (Central) Akshay M said public demonstrations in Bengaluru were restricted to Freedom Park under Karnataka High Court directives. Watch the report for details of the police intervention and the march. #bengaluru #tirangamarch #antisirfederation #sir #gyaneshkumar #freedompark #townhallbengaluru #karnatakanews #protest #police #farmersunions #dalitorganisations #leftorganisations #dailysalardigital Bengaluru Tiranga March Faces Police Standoff Over Protest Placards at Town Hall ========================================================== ▶️ Daily Salar Digital is a thought-provoking, progressive journalism platform.
