Lost in Ladakh EP. 3 — Darcha to Gonbo Rangjon From Darcha to the remote landscapes of Zanskar — this was one of the most challenging days of my Ladakh road trip. My dream was to reach **Gonbo Rangjon**, but I already knew that high altitude could be a serious problem for me. On a previous high-altitude pass, I had struggled with breathlessness and felt like I couldn't breathe properly. Still, I decided to leave Darcha and take on the journey towards Zanskar. The day started with a beautiful interaction with a local woman in a small village near Darcha, where I got to see and understand a little bit of the local lifestyle. From there, I started driving towards Zanskar and came across some incredible but extremely risky mountain terrain, with a river flowing deep below the cliffs. Then came *Shinkula Pass* — one of the most spectacular parts of this route. After crossing Shinkula, I finally reached **Gonbo Rangjon**. I met a few strangers there who helped me capture some photographs, and I decided to stay for the night. But soon after, I started feeling dizzy and unwell. The high altitude began taking a toll on me. The local people were incredibly kind and even offered me a tent to stay in for free. But I decided to camp inside my car instead. With very little hydration, no proper update reaching my family, and my head constantly spinning, I eventually went to sleep inside my car at Gonbo Rangjon. This was another unforgettable night of my solo journey through Ladakh.
