Making "follow me" tracking eyes for my BJD [Doll tutorial]

Good news! The orthopedic surgeon told me I can go up stairs again, so I can finally get up to my studio and see my BJDs! I guess the bad news is the orthopedic surgeon part, and all the weeks I couldn't go up and down the stairs. It's getting better, though, so I finally headed up to visit my dolls and make a long-overdue pair of eyes for Tahl. I've always thought my sneaky thief boy needed a pair of tracking eyes that follow you around the room, and fortunately, they're super easy to make. I had fun experimenting with these, even though doll eyes aren't my favorite thing to make! The "follow me" effect is an optical illusion caused by the clear dome. The flat pattern on the back is visible from any direction... as long as it's not so deep that it's blocked by the side of the doll's eye wells, anyway. I'll need to make a revised pair to get these perfect for Tahl, but I was really happy with how easy it was to get these to work out right. I'll be back soon with a more casual update on everything that's been going on and all that's been keeping me busy, but hopefully I'll be able to make some more progress with doll things soon, too.
