In the first months, babies see the world in soft focus and are naturally drawn to bold, simple shapes with strong black-and-white contrast. Big, slow-moving, high-contrast images are easy for young eyes to spot and follow, without the busy colors and fast cuts of regular cartoons. HOW TO WATCH • Watch together. Talk, sing and point things out • Keep sessions short and follow your baby's cues: looking away means it's time for a break • Hold the screen about 20–30 cm (8–12 in) away, or prop it up during tummy time • Lower the brightness for an even gentler glow.
