This is a quick video going over how to successfully connect the audio from your turntable into a Pioneer DDJ-1000 Rekordbox or SRT, get it to work with VDJ's effects and passthrough for streaming/broadcasting.
I was surprised there wasn't a video about this already made so here you go.
This video also addresses how to fix the low signal that plagues these mixers from phono or line audio sources so you won't have to max your gain anymore.
While I'm using an earlier version of VDJ (I still use a lot of scripts that I'm too lazy to convert to the new version), this should work fine on the latest version of VDJ. I use the 4-up template which is also available in the new VDJ under the legacy layout option.
UPDATE: Do NOT USE GAIN12! It apparently after a few weeks goes into a "BUY ME" mode even though there's no info on how to buy and it beeps randomly... a lot... instead here is another GAIN VST which you copy the VST2 files into the 64bit folder like Gain12 and it even goes LOUDER! I was able to get rid of my pre-amp altogether! The cool part? There are a TON of free VST fx which you can use as well - FREEEEEEE!
