We cannot express enough how much love and passion went into this wedding film. And we mean it when we say film. This is a 9-minute Highlight Film, and in all our years of filming weddings, we have never delivered one quite this long. After more than 12 years of documenting weddings, and growing into my mid-30s, I (Danie) have started to understand these moments differently. When I first started filming weddings, the demand was often for a quick highlight. Three minutes or less. Something beautiful that captured the best moments of the day. And while there is absolutely a place for that, I find myself wanting something more now. I want to preserve the day. I want to tell the story of the day. I want you to hear the voices, feel the energy, remember the people who were there, and experience what it felt like to be in that moment. Because these films aren’t just for the couple to watch next year. They’re for the families who will watch them years from now. For the people who weren’t there. For the children and grandchildren who will want to know what that day looked and sounded like. To us, that’s what makes a wedding film an Heirloom. We were incredibly honoured, and genuinely so proud, to have been chosen to document Natalie and Philip’s wedding day. And this film would not have happened without the wonderful referral from Alicia Keats, or the deep connection we built with Natalie and Philip from our very first meeting.
