New perspectives on the origin of eukaryotes

A lecture entitled “New perspectives on the origin of eukaryotes” provides two different views on the evolution of the last eukaryotic common ancestor (LECA). Introduced by two leading evolutionary and computational biologists, Prof. Patrick Keeling (University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada) and Dr Eugene Koonin (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, USA).
