Story No. 007 — A Day on Utö What is everyday life like on a small Swedish island in the Stockholm archipelago? In this story, we travel by boat to Utö and spend a quiet day exploring the island. We walk through the old workers' village, see historic houses, visit the old mining landscape and discover some of the island's local shops and cafés. Utö is known for its long mining history, but this story is also about the everyday side of island life — the harbour, the boats, the small shops, fika, local products, old houses and the people who come and go by ferry. Rather than following the usual tourist route, I wanted to simply slow down and experience a day on one of Sweden's islands. This is everyday life surrounded by the sea, nature and the history of the Stockholm archipelago. Stories of Scandinavia Because every place has a story.
