El Cid Conquered This Castle By Using Goats!? | Castle of Montornes

Welcome to a huge castle ruin. With three lines of defense Montornes is well equipped to withstand any siege. It seemed like it would do just that when El Cid turned up to conquer it. He came up with a clever ruse though. Using a herd of goats he was able to confuse the defenders and capture the castle. Truly a remarkable tale.
