VIDEO DESCRIPTION This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this storybook inspired landscape image of "FLIGHT OF THE IMAGINATION" with a strong large hawk carrying an excited child over a stunning mountain scenery. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to create this surreal piece of art with depth in the sky, dimension in the land and movement in the swing and water as the child enjoys his ride through the colorful canyon. Holding onto the hope of the weather continuing to be bright and glorious, the bird keeps it's wings spread wide open as it glides through the air with it's passenger in tow, providing a smooth ride on the swing as they soar to their next destination. With curiosity abound, the bird and child keep their eyes on the distant landscape wondering what the day will bring. You’ll learn to draw a basic outline of a rocky mountain landscape with a flowing river at the bottom. You’ll learn how to paint the pine trees with a layered stippling technique that will provide dimension with little effort or work. Using a soft layering blending technique, you'll learn to add atmospheric dimension to the sky, with sunset (or sunrise) colors and drifting clouds, and to the distant mountains with soft muted natural tones. The strong posture of the bird with his striking color pattern on the feathers and tufted head will make you want to join him in this flight through the country that is just bursting with natural life and aquatic energy. Customize this painting to make it your own by having the child represent a girl or boy that you know, or put two kids on the swing, maybe a raft is going down the river, or your sunrise is more vibrant. Use your imagination to paint a dragon, instead of a bird, or make it a night scene with a moon instead of the sun... just have fun and enjoy the process! Using only 3 brushes and 8 colors we'll create this surreal landscape conversational masterpiece inspired by the minds eye of a child's dreams, hopes, passions and creativity. This creation will surely inspire the viewer and compliment the wall of any home. So let's get painting and let's get sipping! IMAGE LINK FOR PRINTING: https://static1.squarespace.com/stati...
