Joining Data

This tutorial looks at how to perform a join. If we have a table in Excel or Access that is not within a GIS, we can still map it if we have a common key, or a column that has a spatial identifier (state, FIPS code, county, country, etc.) that can be matched to an existing GIS data layer.
