Gravity Initialization

In this video, I demonstrate how to do the gravity stress initialization for structures. There is more than one method, here I am using Implicit Analysis and a multi-stage simulation approach: 1- In the first simulation, gravity is applied with a ramp curve. Implicit time integration is used. dynain file is created. 2- In the second simulation, you can add whatever dynamic load you want. Use *INCLUDE keyword to call the dynain file (which got the data of the stresses, elements, nodes, and SPC). Here, the gravity load curve is constant at 9.81 m/s and not ramped anymore because the gravity stresses are already initialized. Don't forget to delete the elements, nodes, and SPC from your main file to avoid duplicating data.
