Shoppes at Bel Air - Mobile, Alabama

Welcome to the Shoppes at Bel Air. Bel Air located in Mobile, AL. The mall opened in 1967 with Sears and Hammel's as anchors. Hammel's would become D.H. Holmes in 1973., a year later JCPenney would be added to the mall. In 1984 Parisian would be added to the mall as a third anchor, and a brand new wing to the mall. In 1989 the D.H. Holmes would be converted into a Dillard’s. In the 90s the mall was renovated and a brand new Target store was added in 1996, unfortunately the food court would be demolished for the new store. In 2007 Parisian would be rebranded into Belk. In 2015 Sears closed at the mall and the space would be converted into a new Belk department store. In 2023 a brand new Surge Entertainment would be added to the mall inside of the former Parisian/ Belk store. In 2024 it was announced the JCPenney would be closing due to unknown reasons. Despite the loss of 1 anchor the mall still seems to do well. Let’s go inside and take a look. Thank you for watching! you enjoy? Please leave a like and share this video! Want to see more?
