25 JULY 26 - JABAL UHUD visit by Ustaz Zaky Alwi

Jabal Uhud is a majestic mountain located just north of Madinah. It is one of the most significant historical sites in Islam, as it was the location of the Battle of Uhud in 625 CE (3 AH). It was here that many noble companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, including Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, were martyred. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Uhud is a mountain that loves us, and we love it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim) Visiting Jabal Uhud is a reminder of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, and the importance of remaining steadfast in obedience to Allah, even in times of hardship. Standing before this mountain allows Muslims to reflect on the lessons of the Battle of Uhud and the sacrifices made to preserve Islam.
