The Family Seyranyan Performing Troupe - May 2005 - Disney’s Animal Kingdom

This home video was taken in May 2005 and I was not able to find a lot of information about the Family Seyranyan. The guide map did not advertise this entertainment in the times guide like some other acts around Animal Kingdom. The Family Seyranyan is currently advertised on the internet on several websites, still available to perform a circus type show called AGAT. All the links to the family website did not work...site not found. The family’s YouTube channel was updated 2 years ago, and had a lot of videos 9-10 years ago. Going by just a little information from the internet, The Family Seyranyan Performing Troupe is a husband and wife, and their two daughters. This Armenian family consists of Gagik and Anaida with daughters Tatevik and Aravik. Bay News 9 from Tampa reported a heartbreaking story saying Tatevik “Tato” Seyranyan lost control of her car and died at the age of 29, in February 2017. She was from Winter Haven and was heading to a performance in West Palm. This was a sad loss for the circus community, as other websites gave tributes to Tato and her amazing talent. Tatevik said she had been working with her family since the age of two, and in 2014-2015 she did a contortion act in the Big Apple Circus. In this home video you will see… Limbo. Anaida Seyranyan performs a breathtaking walk under a limbo stick, with a stack of wine glasses on her head! Hula Hoop. One of the sisters (Aravik?) does a hula hoop act, twirling it on her foot, upside down, walking on her hands. Rola Bola. The next sister, probably Tatevik, balances on rollers and squeezes her body through a small hoop. Still balancing, she juggles 3 balls. Bending over she begins to rotate a hula hoop on her bottom, and then juggles three balls again! There are several videos of Tatevik doing this online, so I believe it is her. Hula Hoop. The first sister balances on her father’s shoulders and spins four hula hoops. Then father, Gagik, rotates a complete 360 balancing his daughter on his shoulders. Hand Balancing. The same sister (Aravik?) does a handstand, then stacks and unstacks blocks with her hands while balancing upside down. Rola Bola. Tatevik balances on FIVE rollers and juggles three pins. Then she rotates the rollers a 360 spin while still juggling! Head Balancing. The other sister balances upside down with her head on top of her father’s head, and if that isn’t amazing enough, she begins to spin hula hoops on her legs. Gagik sits down with her still balanced on his head, then he lifts her off by her hands. Once her hands reach the ground she walks away, upside down, still twirling the hoops. The whole family takes a bow at the end. This was in May at Animal Kingdom, so there are a few moments where the camera was pointing at the stage, and not the action. Those were times I was wiping sweat off my face. Sorry. I have a lot of respect for the Family Seyranyan doing these acts in the Florida humidity. I was not able to track a time when they started and when they stopped at Animal Kingdom, but if you know, leave it in the comments below.
