Kaohsiung Pier-2 Was Full of Surprises! 😲🎶 | Food, Live Music & Street Fun (城市嶼浪)

I visited Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung on October 4, 2026, and unexpectedly found one of the liveliest weekend events happening right beside Pier-2 Tower and the LRT Dayi Pier-2 Station — the 2026 City Island Carnival (2026 城市嶼浪市集嘉年華). 🎉🇹🇼 The event brought together 80 youth-run food and creative stalls along with 11 live stage performances, turning the Pier-2 waterfront into a mix of music, food, shopping, and street entertainment from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. 高雄旅遊網 I filmed a short live-concert section, explored the food court and stalls, and kept finding interesting surprises around the market. There was a very creative owl-themed decoration cart, a jhoola/swing built into one of the displays, a street-style beer bar offering a 1+1 deal, and plenty of people enjoying the evening atmosphere. One of the most fun moments was watching Shany dancing, which added even more energy to the festival atmosphere. With the music stage, food trucks, creative stalls, lights, drinks, and people enjoying the harbor breeze, Pier-2 felt completely different from a normal sightseeing day. The official event featured artists including Sweet John (甜約翰), Crispy (脆樂團), JOYCE (就以斯) and bands from Kaohsiung’s High Speed Youth program.
