Underworld Live - John Peel Session - 2003/12/10

Underworld Live in session at the Maida Vale Studios for John Peel. Photo credit: https://squatney.medium.com/archived-galle... Art and audio credits from here. Lossless CD source for all music, with additional patches from digital satellite recording (192Kbps, Radio1 Sky digital) for John Peels voice only. The start introduction, again John Peel, is taken from a webcast (12 seconds only). 00:00 john peel - introduction 00:14 luetin 09:27 surfboy 12:49 rope/tokyo - london1 15:11 two months off 25:53 unknown 2 27:42 jumbo 36:10 unknown 3/eurostar 38:09 trim 45:29 moaner 53:49 john peel 'thank you' 54:37 born slippy nuxx Lineage: Audio CD (rip not known) from soundesk recording. Lossless spectrum, more dynamic waveform. John Peel talking. Youtube flagged the lineage of John's VO recording, but it's basically a Sky digibox at 192kbps hard wired into a standalone CDR, then the resulting CD was ripped to FLAC. The first 12 seconds is taken from the BBC webcast, and is only John Peel's introduction, cross faded quickly at the start of the crowd's cheer. The sound-desk CD only had John Peel's voice as crosstalk picked up another microphone, and no start introduction. It sounded a little odd, so I have cross faded to the 192Kbps digital source to cover the 'thank you' and the end speech. I have also adjusted the volume slightly to even out the recording. Updated cover artwork available for download at: http://www.jamielochhead.co.uk/uwjp1.htm Other artworks and desktop backgrounds, including other Underworld artworks: http://www.jamielochhead.co.uk/browse1.htm Jpeg of the paper insert for the sounddesk CD included. A huge 'Thank You' to Mark3 and Jetpig of RTSR for making the new CD source available.
