Laughing Water by Ida Bierman (1903) by I. BIERMAN (1903)

This is an excellent piece in the category of a ragtime intermezzo. It was featured in the Nora Hulse CD "24 Rags by Women". Thanks to JohnJ1995 for the Nora Hulse info. It was one of two ragtime scores written by Ida G. Bierman, the other being "Pike Pikers":    • Pike Pikers by Ida G. Bierman (1904)   Musescore researcher Erlingl has found a few details about Ida's life: She was born ca. 1884 in Missouri. Father from Russia, mother from Austria. In addition to the two rags there is a waltz , “Vision of Love" available on the net and in 1905 from St. Louis a song “That Amuses Me”, lyrics by Frank Wooster (ref. “Black Cat Rag”), is said to have sold 125 000 copies. She lived in St. Louis (played the piano) and married there in 1907 to Julius Radowsky/Radomsky Jr., later using the name Radom. They had a son and a daughter, also with children, so possible family alive today. In the 1920s they moved to California. She lived there (possibly Ventura County) late 1926, but in 1930 her husband is listed as widowed, living in Los Angeles with the two children.
