Lincoln LS Hydraulic Actuator Replacement

My 2001 Lincoln LS has been having strange over heating problems. Overheating in traffic, especially on hot days. Turning on the heater would usually bring the gauge back down. Forums online led me to believe the problem was a bad hydraulic actuator (or solenoid). The Dealership wanted a million dollars, as the job calls for a lot of hours. If you can get a small wrench in there, you actually don't have to remove the alternator and hoses from below or drain/flush the system. The job should take 30 mins after ordering the new $250 part from the dealership. This replacement did fix my overheating issues.
