12 The Podcast | EP 20 | Songwriting, Emotions & Music Industry With Tony Abi Karam

In this episode of Twelve The Podcast, we sit down with Tony Abi Karam, one of the most renowned Lebanese songwriters, to explore the art of songwriting and the power of lyrics in shaping music. From how simple words turn into unforgettable songs, to the role of emotions in writing, Tony shares his perspective on what makes a song truly timeless. We discuss the responsibility of writers, the influence of social media on today’s music industry, and the common mistakes songwriters should avoid. Tony also explains why he believes there are no “Lebanese songs” but rather Arabic songs, and why people often connect with music more than lyrics. Whether you are an aspiring songwriter, a music lover, or someone curious about the creative process behind Arabic hits, this conversation offers valuable insights into the world of songwriting and the evolving music scene.
