Mt. Bierstadt & Mt. Evans via Sawtooth Traverse

Mt. Bierstadt & Mt. Evans/Blue Sky via Sawtooth Traverse. With a full week of climbing already under our belts, Jerome and I saw an opportunity to grab these two before our respective returns home. Enjoyed a contemplative drive from Telluride all the way to Guanella pass. Car camped the night prior and got an early, early start for the steady climb up to Mount Bierstadt's summit at 14,066 feet. From there the obvious trail ended and we began the adventure of navigating the raw terrain and cliffs of the Sawtooth to reach the summit of Mount Evans, (officially Mount Blue Sky now), at 14,268 feet. We descended down a gulley and through the infamous willows before I had to set out for DEN to catch my flight. Great end to a great week. Thanks for watching, and welcome to the adventure.
