Shinobi - The Real Ninja Classic God Mode Edition - SMS Full Longplay

Recorded in PAL 50Hz with PSG audio. This is a ROM hack originally by Kuato and further modded by God Mode to make the game much easier than the original. You can still die and make mistakes but the game is far more forgiving and has less dick moves now and gives the player a fair go. Despite being an easy game for the most part, I always felt this game was unfairly hard in certain parts like the Mandara boss where you have to hit each statue 4 times before it would disappear, fail to do so quick enough saw poor Joe get pushed into the electricity beam by the sliding statues and once you lose a try you also lose all your power-ups and melee attacks much like a shooter meaning it's almost 3 times harder to beat this boss on the stock, default weapons. The final boss is a dick too, the part where he runs at you and you're forced to jump over him quick enough to chain or nun-chuk him in time, if he belted you one you haven't enough time to belt him one back. And don't forget about the pixel-perfect jump at the end of round 4-2 where it was almost impossible to get across without using the floating ninja magic (if you were lucky enough to win it from the bonus stage). This hack fixes all those annoying in game quirks and is designed to give the player an overall smoother and more enjoyable experience. ROM changes: Joe Musashi in game now wears a balaclava hood just like on the title screen. You can now throw up to 3 projectiles on screen. Start the game with a completely full energy bar. Always has lower damage when hit. Can release magic at any time. Bonus stage ninjas don't jump they just keep throwing stars - (although I still got a ''You Failed'' in one of them). Infinite lives. High jumps (Round 4-2 is a cakewalk now). Only one shot for each Mandara statue. Stage selection right after the title screen. WARNING: There is a bug with the very last bonus stage where if you enter it, it never ends and just gets stuck forcing you to reset. I avoided it for this long play as it is skipped. Played and recorded this on my PAL SEGA Mega Drive November 1991 VA4 model 1 console using my new Master Ever-Genesis flash cart on top of the Master System converter.
