Iron Meat - 1CC (Arcade - Hard)

One credit clear of this modern run' n' gun developed and published by Retroware in september 2024. Very good Contra-like game with some modern mechanics, hold button and platform jump down, it play a little different then your typical Contra, there's a little more movement freedom, furthermore the game force you to be more proactive, mostly because the "S" weapon is not as good as is in other similar games. I really like the pixel art with the ever present duality blue/Red (iron/meat) that never bore me, and the fantastic metal OST by Darkman007 (Super Cyborg OST), which fits perfectly with the "Eldritch Horror" atmosphere of the game. Just a survival run, i tried to keep deaths to a minimum and i played in Arcade mode on hard difficult, in the end i lost 5 lives, good enough for an arcade experience of more than 80 min. Not as hard as Super Cyborg, still it offer a good challenge.
