Morning Bible Devotion: Mark 12

Pastor Tim of Grace and Truth Church reads a chapter of scripture from the Bible to seek Jesus in the known and to see Him reveal the unknown. We see the cultural, historical and faith perspectives of the passages and how the Word of GOD is as vibrant and relevant today as when lived so long ago. We are reading from the NASB 1995 translation. Mark 12: Jesus provides the parable of the vine growers, which is directly aimed at the Pharisees. The Pharisees, Scribes, Herodians and the Sadducees through everything but the kitchen sink at Jesus in this chapter. Stupid scenarios exactly like non-believers today ask about. And in this Jesus sets the record straight on their ignorance and their understanding of GOD’s Law. The most misused verse used today to normalize and accept sin is asked about in this chapter. Jesus ends with calling out the religious leaders’ hypocrisy in the temple, to the crowd with the Pharisees standing there. That IS Jesus. As always, you decide.
