Every story about Atlantis traces back to two short dialogues by Plato, the Timaeus and the Critias, written around 360 BC. Tonight we read what he actually wrote, slowly and carefully: the priest at Sais, the island beyond the Pillars of Heracles, the city of rings, the law on the pillar of orichalcum, and the sentence Plato never finished. Then we look, gently, at what later writers claimed and what modern theories propose, keeping each of them clearly apart. A calm history story for falling asleep. About 21 minutes, with soft ambient sound throughout.
