The Golden Years 1960's 1980's North Norfolk Railway 2026

Plenty of classic cars and buses are featured as I made a welcome return to the North Norfolk Railway for their "Golden Years" event. Celebrating the years 1960's to the 1980's there were displays at Holt with live music and also classic caravans at Weybourne Station. The weekend saw the return of the 105 year old Great North Railway Class N2 1744 to service and it made a fine sight. An intensive train service with steam and deisel was operating with hop on/off tickets available. Vintage buses ran trips to Cromer, Melton Constable and The Muckleburgh Collection tank museum. The action is nearly all at Holt with the buses arriving and departing. I take a look at some of the cars on display and there are a few clips of The Austin Beats who did a brilliant set of 1960's covers. Some of the trains can also be seen at Holt Station and a fire engine or two.
