This route begins at the Seymour Dam, at the end of the Seymour Demonstration Forest Trail. Watch my video of that here 👉 • Видео
Spur 4 and Fisherman’s Trail are interconnected gravel paths in North Vancouver’s Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, offering a mix of scenic forest riding and riverfront access. Spur 4 is a well-maintained gravel road that branches off the main Seymour Valley Trail, historically used as a service road for forest management and watershed operations. It provides a quieter alternative for cyclists and hikers, winding through dense temperate rainforest with occasional viewpoints of the surrounding mountains. Fisherman’s Trail, running parallel to the Seymour River, is a slightly rougher but still accessible multi-use path that traces the remnants of old logging routes and historical fishing access points. Used for decades by anglers, hikers, and mountain bikers, the trail features rolling terrain, wooden bridges, and lush, moss-covered landscapes. Together, these trails create a peaceful backcountry experience within reach of the city, attracting outdoor enthusiasts seeking a mix of solitude and natural beauty.
