The concept flips classic Sonic the Hedgehog characters into a survival horror setting: in every round, a group of players control Survivors, while one player controls a twisted killer known as an Executioner (often shortened to “EXE”). The Survivor roster includes fan-favorite characters like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit, Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, Silver, and Blaze, with the roster later expanding to include Shadow as well. All Survivors are free to use. On the killer side, there are 4 playable Executioners: 2011X, Kolossos, Tripwire, and Fleetway Super Sonic. 2011X, the very first Executioner in the game, resembles the original Sonic.EXE creepypasta and is available to everyone for free. The other three have to be unlocked using Rings, the in-game currency, without needing any real-money purchases. There’s also EYX (Sonic.EYX), a fifth Executioner that was teased and worked on but never officially released before development stopped. Each round plays out as a chase: Survivors have to explore the map, complete objectives, and find an escape (usually a glowing green ring) before the Executioner hunts them all down. Outcome Memories’ original development was paused in January 2026 due to internal drama and communication issues within the dev team, and the project was officially cancelled shortly after. Despite that, the game built a big and dedicated fanbase, which is why the community has kept it alive through fan-made recreations, including versions in Garry’s Mod. Outcome Memories: Reframed is a fan-made Roblox project inspired by the original game and still in development, so everything shown in this video can change before release.
