My Life in Portugal | Much needed House Renovations & Warm Autumn Days

After a long wait due to a leaking roof, we finally start making some big progress around our log burner. But before getting stuck into the renovations, I share a little passionfruit trick that has helped me get more of our flowers to set fruit. The steel frame for our floating ceiling is installed, and the refractory bricks for the wall behind the log burner arrive. Between all the building work, there’s still time for a walk with Peppa and a little harvest of green beans and chillies from the garden. Mauro then gets to work preparing and tiling the wall behind the log burner, and I am quite impressed, it's looking so good for a first attempt. Then it’s time for the ceiling to go in too, followed by another satisfying reveal. As the work wraps up, storm clouds start building over the village, bringing a dramatic end to another busy day at home.
