He Didn’t Leave Us Alone | John 14:15–21

In John 14:15–21 (KJV), Jesus gives His disciples a powerful promise before going to the cross: He would not leave them comfortless. In this sermon, He Didn’t Leave Us Alone, we continue our study through John 14 and look at what it means to truly love Christ and keep His commandments, the promise of the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Helper, the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth, and the assurance that believers do not have to walk through this life alone. Jesus knew His disciples would face fear, uncertainty, temptation, and trials, so He promised to send the Holy Spirit to dwell within them and help them live for God. We also look at the hope found in Jesus’ words, “because I live, ye shall live also,” and how His resurrection gives us the assurance of eternal life.
