Plein Air Painting - I can't believe I found this place! - Vergaldabach, Gargellen, Montafon

turn on captions! In this video I share with you our plein air painting trip to Gargellen, Montafon, where we went to paint a wonderful but challenging cascading river scene in the midst of the woods. (Vergaldabach) It was quite a sight to behold and I was awestruck by the beauty of this place. I couldn't believe my eyes at first, because I didn't know that we had such a spot in our area. I've been so overwhelmed by the sight, that I struggled to concentrate. There was so much to pick up in such a short period of time. That is one of the challenges of plein air painting. You need to make so many quick decisions and stick to them and hope for the best. I wish I would have had more time to just explore first and get familiar with my subject, instead of jumping right into painting. Looking back I would change quite a few things. Next time I will go there earlier in the day to make sure that I have more time. I'm looking forward to painting at this river again. :) turn on captions for my commentary!
