Leo made a promise to meet Mia at half past three. Can he read the clock in time?
In this Think It Through episode, children learn to tell the time to the hour and half past the hour. Leo shows how the long hand and the short hand work together. Then he practises lots of times so children can join in and answer.
📖 The Story:
Leo promises Mia he'll meet her at the swings at half past three. Back home he plays with his train while the clock ticks on. He learns to read the clock, sees that it's half past three and gets there just in time.
⏰ What children learn:
• The short hand tells us the hour. The long hand tells us the minutes.
• When the long hand points to the 12, it's o'clock.
• When the long hand points to the 6, it's half past.
• Every o'clock and half past, from 1 o'clock to half past 12.
✅ The Takeaway:
"Keeping a promise means being there when you said."
