The biodiversity we observe across the landscape is a result of countless interactions among species and the environments in which they occur. While we often study which species are occurring in a community, it is also important to understand their functional traits as they can provide insights about how the community might respond to environmental pressures. In this webinar, ABMI Applied Ecologist Brandon Allen discussed how the functional traits of wetland vascular plants relate to their local environment and external pressures from both human footprint and terrestrial invasive thistles.
