A city was under siege and had run out of arrows. Its commander, Zhang Xun, lowered straw men over the wall in black clothes, one rope at a time. From below, they looked like men. The camp across the field shot at them all night. In the morning the straw came back full of arrows. Weeks later the ropes went down again — and this time the camp only laughed. That night the men on the ropes were real. The fake bought the time; the real thing did the rest. In this video: • The true story behind Stratagem #7 • Why the straw men were only the first half • The fire alarm that rang twice and meant nothing • Why "probably nothing" is the most expensive sentence you know • How a building drills its way out of that lie • Learn 4 Chinese characters: 无 中 生 有 Missed #1?
