What Was This Place? | Uncovering the Story of My Wild Land

A lot has happened since I started Little House, Wild Land — including rather more of you turning up here than I ever expected! So I thought it was probably time I introduced myself properly. I'm Saski. I have some experience renovating old houses, absolutely no experience reclaiming a wildly overgrown piece of land, and apparently I've decided to learn as I go. 🌿 In this video I'm sharing a little more about why I started the channel, what I'm hoping to do with the little house and land, and what I do — and definitely don't — know about the journey ahead. I'm also taking another look at the mysterious stone remains I've been uncovering beneath years of brambles and undergrowth. What I initially thought was simply an old stone structure has become rather more intriguing as I've cleared around it. There's a walled hollow or pit, old stonework, and now steps leading down into it. So… what was this place? I'm beginning to look into the history of the land and old cadastral records to see whether I can find some answers. I don't want to jump to conclusions about what I've found, so for now I'm simply documenting what emerges and learning as I go.
