A little glimpse into a glorious fall week 🍁☕️ spending time with Charity making homemade maple lattes, baking gooey pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and trying to decide what I should be for Halloween 🎃✨ In this vlog, I’m romanticizing the little things, sharing a snapshot of what life looks like while being in a long-distance relationship with someone in Japan 🇺🇸🤍🇯🇵, and enjoying some cozy moments in between. I’m also currently reading The Poet Empress by Shen Tao, so of course I had to share a little bookish update! 📖🌷 A reminder that life doesn’t have to be extraordinary to be beautiful. Sometimes it’s the slow mornings, homemade coffee, good books, and conversations with friends that make an ordinary week feel special. 🤎 ☕️ HOMEMADE MAPLE LATTES, PUMPKIN COOKIES & COZY FALL DAYS 📚 Currently reading: The Poet Empress by Shen Tao 📖 Come find me on Fable! Let’s be book friends 🤍 https://fable.co/fabler/grace-gauthie... 🎃 GOOEY PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Inspired by this Instagram Reel 🍪 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQJwJG... Ingredients ½ cup unsalted butter, melted ⅓ cup pumpkin purée, drained and squeezed until you have ¼ cup 1 cup packed light brown sugar 1 large egg yolk 2 tsp vanilla extract 1½ cups all-purpose flour ½ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt 2 tsp cinnamon ¼ tsp nutmeg ⅔ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus extra for rolling (optional!) Instructions In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and squeezed pumpkin purée until combined. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix well. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until no streaks of flour remain. Fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop the dough into 1½ oz balls and roll in extra chocolate chips if desired. Cover and chill the dough for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place cookies about 2 inches apart and bake for 9–10 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Let cool on the baking sheet before enjoying! Save this recipe for your next cozy fall baking day! 🍂🍫 If you're new here, I'm Grace!
