First up, watch as I use a cue tip combined with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove flux from the board. I highlight the challenges of using a cue tip: it struggles to get into the tight, hard-to-reach areas; its absorbency is less than ideal; and its fibres can detach and stick to the board, complicating the cleanup even further. Next, I introduce a game-changing alternative—nano sponges. These tiny, precision tools effortlessly navigate those hard-to-reach spaces. They absorb IPA and flux exceptionally well and don’t leave unwanted fibre residues, even near sharp component legs. Through side-by-side comparisons, I illustrate why nano sponges are quickly becoming the preferred choice for achieving a pristine PCB. If you’re looking for innovative and effective PCB cleaning techniques, this video is a must-watch.
