Music is not thought out; it is felt.
An LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator)
Is an electronic or digital component that generates a repetitive wave at an extremely low frequency (usually below 20 Hz).
How does it work? Being below the human audible range, its signal is not heard directly. Instead, it connects to other sound parameters to modulate them and add movement or texture automatically.
Key controls: It is configured by its waveform (sinusoidal, square, triangular) that defines the type of movement; the speed or rhythm (rate); and the intensity (depth or amount) that determines how much it affects the destination.
Common effects:
Vibrato: If you modulate the tuning (pitch).
Tremolo: If you modulate the volume (amp).
Wobble / Dynamic filter: If you constantly open and close the frequencies of a filter (cutoff)
Experimental noise (or *noiser*) is a genre of music and sound art that challenges or eliminates traditional boundaries between music and noise, dispensing with conventional elements such as melody, harmony, or structured rhythm.
Improvisation is the act of conceiving, creating, and executing any activity, work, or conversation spontaneously and simultaneously, without having prepared it beforehand with a script or detailed plan.
Like many other things, AUM, does not have many tools, effects, processors and less LFOs to modulate or move parameters, of Synths, generators, instruments and effects. That's why we must resort to external AUv3 Plugins, to manipulate, the other external plugins. AUM, is only a DAW Host Audio Mixer, which receives or hosts, external plugins (generators, Synths, instruments, Samplers, effects, MIDI processors.
(*) The Rozeta Sequencer Suite is a collection of MIDI plug-ins in AUv3 format for iOS (iPad and iPhone), developed by Bram Bos. It is designed to generate notes, rhythms, and automation to control other synthesizers and drum machines within compatible hosts, such as AUM, Drambo and others DAW Host.
Plug-ins included in the suite:
Rozeta Bassline: A monophonic sequencer based on Troublemaker, featuring mutation and randomization functions, with up to 8 patterns per instance.
Rozeta Rhythm: A Euclidean rhythm sequencer for percussion that supports polyrhythms, per-instrument mutation, and custom MIDI mapping.
Rozeta X0X: A step sequencer in the style of the classic Roland TR-808 drum machine, with support for triplets, polyrhythms, and emulated timing jitter.
Rozeta LFO: A triple LFO generator that uses MIDI CC messages to modulate parameters in your instruments.
Rozeta XY: A dual X-Y control pad that generates simultaneous CC control streams, also including Pitch-Bend and modulation wheel controls.
Rozeta Arpeggio: A MIDI arpeggiator with a latch mode, shuffle adjustment, and tempo synchronization.
Rozeta Particles: A generator that creates "clouds" of pseudo-random MIDI notes that appear to bounce around.
Rozeta Cells: A polyphonic step sequencer and recorder for musical phrases and chord patterns.
Rozeta Collider: A generative sequencer focused on melodic and experimental musical phrases.
