In this episode of liveaboard cruising life on our Nordhavn 55, we play tour guide around Stocking Island, hit the Georgetown Art Walk, bounce out to sandbars and beaches, and go meet the critically endangered iguanas on White Cay… before the Bahamas reminds us who’s boss with a big blow (near 50-knot winds) and our fridge dies at the worst possible time. It starts as “sunshine and rainbows” with family in town (Gail, Larry, and Aunt Diana bringing the wholesome chaos), then pivots into full-on prep mode: extra chain, dinghy up, everything strapped down, and an urgent mission to save the only things that matter in a storm: bacon, cheese, and morale.
