This is the Tune "Orkha D Rome" from the Qaleh d'Odrane from the book of Khodra. The tunes have numbers, and this is tune 2:1. The Tunes of Succor or The Qaleh d'Odrane is a collection of traditional chants and hymns from the Assyrian Church of the East, and the same are used in the Ancient Church of the East and Chaldean church. It is frequently used in liturgical services alongside the Khodra (the church's liturgical calendar book). These prayers focus on succor (which means assistance or help in times of distress) and are meant to provide weary souls with relief, mercy, and comfort. Translation: As the deer longs for streams of water [Psalm 42:1], so in sorrow and tears Your servants cry out to You; O Lord, Dispeller of sorrows. Turn away from us the evil season that presses upon us, as You turned away from the Ninevites the rod of wrath [Jonah 3:10], and poured out upon them the dew of mercy and compassion. You are the One who blessed the cruse and the flask of that widow [1 Kings 17:14-16]. And You are the One whose great compassion justified the tax collector in the temple [Luke 18:13-14]. And You are the One who healed the hidden affliction of that stricken woman [Mark 5:25-34]. Receive the petition of those who call upon Your name every day, and do not turn away, O Lord, from the supplication of those who praise You. O Hope of the righteous and Help of the needy, help us, O Lord, in our tribulations, and sustain us by Your grace. Answer our petitions in Your mercy, O Knower of all.
