Can You Win By Actually Using Strategy? Our 5-0 Arma Reforger Run

This was one of those Arma Reforger games where the plan actually came together. We jumped onto official HQC as the US with a strong group of regulars and one goal: Win the war properly. Not by chasing kills. Not by throwing ourselves at the same objective. By reading the map, moving the front line, protecting signal, keeping people together and making the right decisions as the battle changed. We started by retaking Monroe, then pushed through Dayton and the tower while trying to work out exactly where the Soviet main operating base was. From there, the match kept growing. We had medics keeping people alive. Players moving in pairs. Helicopters moving the squad around the map. BTR fights. Signal and supply decisions. Forward pushes through Industrial Compound, Province and Montignac. And somehow I managed to stay alive for over an hour before finally going down. Then the game changed again. Night fell. We started operating in the dark, using flares, moving quietly and trying to get as close to objectives as possible before opening fire. By the late game, we were 4-0 up and trying to close the war out. We extended signal south, pushed Military Base Levy and eventually secured the fifth objective. 5-0. And because we apparently hadn’t caused enough chaos already, we finished with multiple attack helicopters, flares and one final assault towards Power Plant. This is probably one of the clearest examples we’ve had of what can happen when a solid core group gets the wider US side moving in the same direction. Good comms. Good medics. Good positioning.
