Nuremberg Days 195-196 (1946) Col. Paul Hauser Direct Dr. Horst Pelckmann

On Aug. 5,6, 1946, Dr. Horst Pelckmann, counsel for the Defense of the SS, called Colonel General Paul Hauser, Commander-in-Chief of Army Group D on the Western Front as a General in the Waffen SS. He testified as to the development of the SS from Hitler's bodyguards to a much expanded role. He elaborated on the Waffen SS and it's participation in the War. He discussed the influence of Himmler and the activities of the Einsatrzgruppen.
