Minus twenty degrees, a wind that never stops, and a cave lion somewhere out there. Tim has 24 hours in the Ice Age, with no food, no shelter and no idea how to make fire.
Would you last until morning? The people who lived here did, and by the end of this video you'll know how.
Tim's watch drops him on the mammoth steppe of southern Russia, on the banks of the river Don, more than 20,000 years ago, in the coldest stretch of the last Ice Age. In one day he learns how Ice Age humans survived: bone needles and fur clothes, why fat mattered more than meat, a horse hunt by the frozen river, cave lions and woolly mammoths, a blizzard, fire from flint and pyrite, and a night inside a house built from mammoth bones.
