Download: https://msdn.duke4.net/mapstours.php Made in 2002, released 2004. Another one of my first completed mapping attempts, made shortly after Clérey (although there was a couple of other comparable ones in between). This one is loosely based on a couple of blocks in a district of Tours, France, that supposedly is being overtaken by a slime infestation. Layout-wise it is even more nonsensical than Clérey, with one tower that is the naive D3D player's dream of busy apartments everywhere to explore (well in 1996) whereas the rest is underdeveloped, to be fair I remember 1/ running out of steam 2/ seeing the sector limit close in and knowing I'd have to wrap things up early. To play now, of course it is terrible as a level but it isn't without being stupid fun in terms of basic combat. A lot of Who's Who? moments opening all the doors, or exploding them which is a gimmick I didn't remember I used to do this much, would be cool to see it come back. Again no reference point, no high bar of what could be achieved by randoms like me in the editor but via the best stuff I could find on shovelware; the influence shows in the teleporters used for the stairs (which almost cost me the run), directly inherited from a gimmick I liked at the time in a Dukematch user map called BINN.MAP. Otherwise it is rather impractical with all the tight corridors, lack of interconnected navigation and again those teleporting stairs; and blocky and basic with very little shading/lighting. The map must have been made for some friends and family who lived on those blocks.
