Navratri, a major Hindu festival, has begun—a time when the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. Amidst this, a historic and unprecedented shift has been witnessed in the history of Durga Puja in West Bengal: for the first time, Navratri is being celebrated with great grandeur and without fear at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. A photograph capturing this spirit is currently going viral on social media. In fact, reports indicate that during the Kali Puja celebrations in the 24 Parganas region, an idol of Goddess Kali was desecrated—an act attributed to certain extremists. Instead of taking action against the perpetrators, the authorities at the time had the idol removed and taken away in a police van. However, Bengal has transformed since the BJP government came to power, and Navratri is now being celebrated openly. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that over 10,000 Bangladeshis have been expelled from Bengal, while thousands of others are fleeing on their own. #navratri #india #pmmodi #breakingnews About Channel: Your daily dose of videos for the latest and exclusive news from India and the rest of the world.
