“RUTO MUST GO!” chants dominated Migwena Grounds in Bondo, Siaya County, during the first anniversary commemoration of the late Rt Hon Raila Odinga. The chants came minutes after broad-based aligned leaders led by CS Opiyo Wandayi told the crowd that Nyanza will stand with President William Ruto in 2027.
The moment Senator Edwin Sifuna took the mic, the mood shifted to “Wantam,” and the crowd demanded to be addressed by Sifuna and Babu Owino. Ruto, Wanga and Oburu were left in shock.
In this video we break down:
✔ What Opiyo Wandayi said about Ruto getting 100% of votes in Nyanza
✔ How the crowd responded when Sifuna took the mic
✔ Sifuna’s message on Raila’s lessons: politics is persuasion, not force
✔ Babu Owino’s words on leadership, justice and service delivery
✔ What Bondo’s reaction means for 2027
