Jade Mia Broadhead with Sarah Painting - 'We Don't Make Sense' (Official Music Video)

'We Don't Make Sense' is the third track to be taken from Jade Mia Broadhead's 'Seasons' EP which was released on Friday 7th June 2024. The majority of the footage was shot at Seaton Sluice Beach & edited in May 2024 but the video has sat in development hell (on my laptop) until now. A combination of factors including Completion Anxiety, time & sweet memories of the shoot quickly turning sour prevented me from finishing it, but I'm happy to say it is now out in the world. The kite footage was filmed in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea in April 2023 with the footage of Sarah's amazing vocal take recorded live in the studio in October 2023 at Cheesecake Records with the song's producer & lead guitar & bass player, David Platt. Sarah Painting was the lead singer of Let's Buy Happiness, my all-time favourite North-East band who broke up ten years ago this year. On kite is Stuart Anderson; my best friend, my roadie, my emotional support system & the person for whom the song was written. The pieces don’t fit We have to ad-lib The manual got lost Looks nothing like it does on the box (Chorus) We don’t make sense in a world that can’t make sense of us, we Don’t make sense In a world that can’t make sense of its own damn self But, we work In a world that doesn’t work we work You couldn’t sell this script Everyone’s a self-righteous critic The characters are too flawed It won’t get the punters in through the door https://jademiabroadhead.bandcamp.com/   / jademiabroadheadmusic     / jademiabroadheadmusic23
