Lesson 2 of Yalla Hebrew. This is the half hour, the one about landing in Israel and opening your mouth. We start with six words that open every door, then about forty phrases you will need on day one. The taxi, the shuk, the hotel, ordering coffee, asking where the bathroom is, and what to say when you did not understand a word. At the end, four small rules that make Hebrew click. Every word is shown twice, with the dots and without, so you can read it in a book and then read it on a street sign. Say it out loud with me. Pause the video, repeat it, get it wrong, say it again. Ten honest minutes a day beats a perfect plan. A man and a woman say it differently. One word opens almost any request, efshar. Ma nishma is a greeting, not a question. If you are coming to Israel, tell me in the comments when you land and which phrase you are most afraid to say. I answer everyone. תודה, יוליה @YallaHebrew2024 #hebrew #learnhebrew #hebrewforbeginners #israel #speakhebrew
