Join me on a complete journey down Shancheng Budao (山城步道) — Chongqing’s legendary mountain path that winds from the hilltops all the way to the riverside. This full-length video combines all three episodes into one continuous walk, capturing the city’s history, culture, and hidden charm along every step. ✨ What we’ll see on this walk: Episode 1: History & Ruins 🏛️ Starting from an old residential building and a centuries-old tree, we descend past the former French Consulate, the iconic Shancheng Alley gate, the damaged Traditional Medicine Outpatient building, and arrive at the atmospheric Ren’ai Church ruins and the 荒野剧场 (Wild Theater). Episode 2: Hidden Alleys & Sunset Streets 🏮 From the Ren’ai Church bell tower ruins, we step into a lively world of tea houses, dessert shops, and playful alleys. We meet a dessert shop owner making peanut crunch for her 凉粉儿, pass a Hello Kitty shop, a giant red heart floating between stone buildings, and a lantern-filled room with Buddhist art, before reaching a square marked with “这很重庆” (“This is Chongqing”). As the sun sets, traditional shops and glowing lanterns turn the streets into a dreamlike scene. Episode 3: Riverside Finale 🌊 The final descent leads through murals, hidden courtyards, and lantern-lit paths, before the mountain opens to reveal the riverside.
